Geospatial data are managed by GeoServer, a powerful open-source engine designed with high interoperability standards that enables the publication of data from any spatial datasource using open or proprietary standards. HYDROS servers deliver top performance, scalability, and reliability.
Due to the Oracle Cloud infrastructure, the access to alphanumeric and graphical data is immediate and meets high standards of efficiency and security.
Map management and visualization are handled by OpenLayers, a globally used open-source library available under the BSD license
HYDROS natively supports data import and export with QGIS and QField, ensuring full compatibility and eventual recovery of data managed through these platforms directly in HYDROS.
Users can export all data stored in HYDROS in the following formats: GeoPackage, Shapefile, KML, GeoJSON, GML2, GML3, JSONP, and CSV.
In addition, REST API endpoints are available to ensure interoperability with external information systems, enabling bidirectional queries to and from HYDROS.
HYDROS offers high levels of resilience due to its redundant and distributed Cloud infrastructure, provided by ACN-certified vendors. The back-up features ensure fast data restoration, resulting in quick service recovery times even in disaster recovery scenarios.
Custom solutions based on high-performance and scalable dedicated servers are available upon request.
The technology behind HYDROS has been carefully developed to ensure high security standards. Client requests are transmitted via TLS and are transparently handled by a Proxy Server, which verifies the nature of each request and routes it correctly to GeoServer. This setup helps prevent various types of cyberattacks such as SQL Injection, DDoS, and Sniffing. HYDROS servers are also protected by next-generation Firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and cybersecurity threat analysis tools.
